Military Re-enactment, Duncannon

It's a long time over (about 6 weeks) but I'm only getting around to processing them now.

As ever I've played with them and in this case used a Lightroom Preset called SIEM 1975 to add a little bit of authenticity to them.

Hope you like.

Make what you will of this one...maybe too much mead, or he's Papa Smurf feeling a little flushed?

Hi Alan, A really excellent set, the effect is great, maybe it's my monitor, but they seem a little light to me?? Mike

Yeah, they are a little light. Maybe right or wrong but I wanted the faded look to resemble fading you see in older photos. Maybe I should stop fecking around and just post images as they are. Undecided

Cheers,

Alan.

That's the fun and challenge of it, you get a mental picture of it and then try to achieve it. You've certainly succeeded here. Mike

ps You could almost claim as Max Boyce use to say "I was There"

I like the fact that they are light - this way you can feel the atmosphere a bit more. Good set. The boots would be my favorites. Simple and straight to the point. The nurse is good, too. She looks a bit bored, but hey - no patients Smiley The last one is interesting, because I keep wandering "what is he doing?".
Very good set, keeps me wonder is this the same place I went?  Undecided

I like this faded look.  They do have that nostalgic feeling but I think just a teeny shade darker might do it too.  Don't know.

Thanks folks. I'll have a look at making them darker...just to see.

Hi Alan,

This is a nice set of photographs.
I feel I might not have thought about them being light had
it not been mentioned.

I've looked at them a few times and I'm not sure darkening
them would be an improvement but my screen is probably different
than others.

I think they are very good and have quite a nostalgic feel to them.

Cheers.

John.
